Emerald Ash Borer in Wisconsin

Wisconsin officials with the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection and the Department of Natural Resources announced August 4, 2008, that Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has been identified in Wisconsin near Newburg in Ozaukee County. Information about the Teen Association and Teen Board
Who is in the Teen Association?
All 4-H members who are in 7th grade and above are automatically in the Teen Association. You don't even have to sign up for an extra project to be a member. All you need to do if show up for the meetings and get ready to have some fun! Meetings are usually held every other month throughout the year. The 4-H calendar has a listing of all of these dates.
What happens at the meetings?
The group plans social and educational activities for teens, other 4-H youth, and families in Kewaunee County. Activities that the group planned in the past include: the teen lock-in, battle of the bands, winter snow day, project day, officer training, teen summer get-together, and much more. They also help at different activities and fund raisers that are held throughout the year.
Are the Teen Board and the Teen Association the same thing?
The Teen Board is the leadership team for the Teen Association. Ten members of the Association are elected to leadership roles such as: president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary, reporter, and members at large. Also, the teen board members meet with members of the adult board about six times a year.
